The New Year’s proverbial ball has dropped. The parties are over. Resolutions have been made for the upcoming year. If you have considered not procrastinating into the new year as one of these resolutions, let us be the first to congratulate you. It is now time to get serious about your 2017 shows.

So, let’s get started. First things first. The Lists….
- Make a list of all shows you have budgeted for (we will call this List A -the ones your sales team tells you are a must, year after year).
- Where can you make concessions?
- Can you have a smaller booth at any of the shows on List A?
- Can you host a reception during List B shows for your clients & respective clients?
- Make a list of all shows you want to be in, but perhaps didn’t plan for (let’s call this List B -you know, those fabulous shows that pop up around the globe where anyone who is anyone will be there).
- Have you considered a show sponsorship? Perhaps be the provider of a ditty bag at a show’s golf game?
- Can you partner at any of these shows, where permissible?
- Have you done your due diligence and determined where exhibiting makes the best sense? Both in terms of your budget and logistics.
- What have you planned for your booth that make you outshine your competition?
