If we are designing the part of your exhibit that features your logo or other artwork, or Houston trade show suppliers have some guidelines to ensure high quality for your artwork. We will provide a more detailed outline of these during the process, but for now, here is a quick overview so you can start preparing to make the right accommodations.
First, file formats. You want to submit your artwork to us in one of the following formats, so that we can print it in the most time efficient manner possible:
- Illustrator CS6 or below
- Photoshop CS6 or below
- InDesign CS6*
- PDF*
- EPS*
*Not preferred – we strongly prefer Illustrator or Photoshop, if possible, because they are more suitable for large format printing.
Next, let’s talk about colors and fonts. If you wish to have the color on your artwork guaranteed, it should be from the Pantone® Solid Coated swatch book. Pantone has literally thousands of colors to choose from, and they are actually considered the world’s foremost authority on color.
We can use a color not found in the Pantone book, if you provide us a hard copy of the color (please ask us for clarification if this applies to your colors). As for fonts, they should be converted to outlines or rasterized. If you want the copy on your artwork to be editable, please let us know so we can explain the right font files for this.
These guidelines are in place so that we can present you with the best final artwork product possible. We provide you the opportunity to proof a digital copy of your artwork before we submit it to be printed, so you have the final say on what goes to the printer. After all, this artwork may be the first thing people notice about your trade show booth!
