Houston trade show clients: When staffing your next booth, you need to consider all the different tasks that need to be done during the show. Take a look at these different tasks; then, place a mental checkmark by the ones that apply to your booth for the next show, and determine if you have enough staff to cover all of them. You may find yourself adding more staff (or working the booth more yourself) once you count up how many of these tasks will need to be covered:
- Setting up the displays
- Recruiting attendees to come over
- Engaging attendees to qualify them
- Performing product demonstrations
- Answering questions about products and services
- Answering technical questions about your business
- Supervising the new staff in attendance
- Talking to potentially new B2B partners (suppliers, etc.)
- Attending the show’s hospitality events (not at your booth)
- Performing data entry (entering new leads into the system)
- Keeping the display free from visible trash, personal items, etc.
- Booth security (watching out for potential trade show thieves)
If you don’t have enough staff to cover all of these tasks, it may be wise to add on more booth staffers. Choose employees you are comfortable with, confident in and excited to show off to new contacts.
We do have some good news, though: We can take one of these tasks off your hands, so that you won’t need to delegate it to your employees. The first task on the list, setting up trade show displays, is a service we provide here at Exhibitor Service Network. Our Houston trade show professionals specialize in end-to-end trade show servicing, including the construction of custom and modular exhibits, laying event flooring, renting your audio/visual equipment, freight, transporting and logistics, and even warehousing and storage.
That narrows down your list, doesn’t it? To learn more about our comprehensive trade show services, contact us today!
