Adding elements of light, sound and video in your space is a quick way to grab people’s attention. Use color and images that stand out amongst your background, making people’s eyes drawn towards your booth. Creative stunts will also help you stand out amongst all the other booths. The most important way to stand out is to have the best staff as possible in your booth. You can have the biggest and best booth with all the bells and whistles, but if people feel like they can’t talk to you or that you are cold none of the money you spent will be worth it. Coach your staff on the importance of being friendly and approachable. Everyone likes to see a smiling face when they walk up!
Be original with Giveaways
Everyone who attends trade shows walks out with a stack of pens with company names on them that quickly get thrown into a drawer and forgotten. You can add your company name and logo onto almost anything, so get creative! Balloons, fidget spinners, and cell phone accessories are just a few ways to change things up a bit. Have a contest, offer a free t-shirt in a drawing, offer something extra for show attendees, or provide a discount on their next order or if they sign a contract with you. If you think about it, your possibilities are as big as your budget!
Start attracting people even before the show starts
In the weeks leading up to the show, start talking about the event on social media. Get people excited about your giveaways and contests. Use the event hashtag and create catchy tweets that get you noticed. People will want to look for your booth, if they see you talking about it. E-mail customers, clients, friends and family and send them a personal invitation.
